La Réplique is a tool for solo preparation by actors. Not a coach replacement, not a scene-partner substitute, not a dubbing studio. That distinction isn't marketing — it shapes everything we do and don't do.
Here are our commitments, stated plainly, so you know exactly what you're using.
What La Réplique will never do
No voice cloning of your takes
You won't discover one day that your voice was used to train a voice model that's then sold, distributed, or reused. The voice recordings you make during rehearsal are not exploited to produce a voice clone. They're used only for real-time voice recognition to validate your line delivery, and they're not retained beyond that technical need.
No digital replica of your performances
Your performances aren't analyzed to reconstruct a synthetic avatar of your acting. La Réplique helps you rehearse — that's it. If someday a tool claims it can "play a scene for you" based on your rehearsals, it won't be ours.
No reselling or sharing of your scripts
The texts you import into La Réplique are yours. We don't resell them, we don't analyze them to train third-party models, we don't share them with anyone. You can delete them at any time. We commit to strictly respecting the IP of your confidential scripts.
No opaque tracking
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how users navigate the site (aggregated anonymous sessions, to identify bugs and friction points). No individual tracking, no behavioral data resale, no advertising profiling. The privacy policy details everything plainly.
No claim to replace humans
We don't promise La Réplique replaces your coach, your director, your scene partner, or your agent. Those people bring something no tool brings. La Réplique lets you show up better for those human interactions, by being more prepared on your text. That's it.
What we commit to do
Transparency about the tech
The voices used are modern neural voices (synthesis). They're not human actors paid to record each text. It's a pragmatic choice: it lets us cover 5 languages and any text without pre-recording. We say clearly it's synthesis, and we work to make voices that help you memorize, not voices that pretend to imitate a performer.
GDPR compliance
If you're based in France or Europe: your personal data is processed under GDPR. Right of access, right of deletion, right to be forgotten — all work. To exercise these rights, email contact@lareplique.ai, we respond within 30 days max.
Pro-performer position
When an actors' union (SAG-AFTRA, Equity, SFA in France) issues recommendations on AI use in acting, we read them and align. If our practices conflict with legitimate artist protection, we change our practices, not our positions.
No hidden use of your data to train our model
We use models from partners (Anthropic, OpenAI, Deepgram, etc.) for AI features. These partners have their own training policies. We choose, where possible, the options that guarantee your inputs aren't used to train their models (no hidden opt-in on the commercial API side). When we discover a partner changes its terms, we say so.
Want to hold us accountable to these commitments?
Several ways:
- Email us at contact@lareplique.ai — every message reaches the team directly, not outsourced support.
- Request full deletion of your data via the same email.
- If you see a practice from us that contradicts this page, tell us: we'll fix either the practice or the page.
What does this actually change?
If you've hesitated to import a confidential script from an active production into an app you barely know — that's a legitimate concern — this page exists to give you the information that helps you decide. The best response to your trust is being clear about what we do and don't do.
